The wedding went off perfect and we all had a great time. We thank everyone who was able to come and join us in the event.

So where are we in the plans?
Things are moving along on the planning. Tonight we go and do a menu tasting for the reception. Another loose end about to be tied up. Hopefully we will have the final main piece lined up by the end of the week, the officiant/Minister to perform the ceremony.
Dresses are picked out. The music for ceremony is picked out. We are about ready to print and send invites. Photography, Reception and wedding location aranged. Now its filling in the blanks.
I bit of help from the lottery would be great.... We keep trying but it keeps drawing the wrong numbers.

I posted some maps for some of the routes to get to the Lyndale Garden and the Mermaid.
I chose to use Google Maps instead of using Mapquest or RandMcnally for Directions since I could edit the routes more easily. I also liked being able to zoom in, pan or get street views.
Mapquest and Rand Mcnally try to use highway routes.
They both want to use 35W which is normally fine. In addition to the 35W reroute using 280 and 94, 35W is under construction between 66th and 36th streets. Mapquest and RandMcnally maps show to Exit on the 36th Street Exit so the construction should not affect these routes. The 46th Street Exits are closed for this construction project.
Using Lyndale Avenue or Hennepin Avenue is a good alternate route especially if you are coming form the north or west and using 394/94. Lyndale and Hennepin exits are just before the Lowry Tunnel near Walker Art Center. Both Mapquest and Rand Mcnally refuse to use Lyndale. I even tried Rudolphs BBQ on Lyndale and it still sent me back to the 35W route instead of going down Lyndale.
The Google Map is set with the address of the Lyndale Garden. You can zoom in and out on the map or create your own directions from this map. Hennepin Avenue is shown as 20 on the Google Map. I will work On creating some route maps with Google and post later.

We have created this blog for our wedding.
The Wedding date is August 16, 2008
The wedding will take Place at The Heffelfinger Fountain in the Lyndale Rose Gardens.
They are located on the North side of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. The reception will follow at the Mermaid Entertainment Center in Mounds View
As plans are made we hope to fill in information, maps and Photos to the Big Event.
A side note... After creating this blog I discovered there is another blog for another Jim and Terri. They are at terriandjim.blogspot.com we are at jimandterri.blogspot.com. So don't go getting us confused with them. If it dosn't look right switch our names around.
